Wikimedia Commons (or simply Commons) is an online repository of free-use images, sounds, other media, and JSON files. It is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation. Files from Wikimedia Commons can be used across all Wikimedia projects in all languages, including Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikibooks, Wikivoyage, Wikispecies, Wikisource, and Wikinews, or downloaded for offsite use. As of May 2020, the repository contains over 61 million free media files, managed and editable by registered volunteers. In July 2013, the number of edits on Commons reached 100,000,000.
Well, so the website is trade-free, as it does not want anything from me. Trade-free content should be free of any license nonsense, since any kind of license is a form of trade, right – (you are only allowed to use that picture IF you credit the guy/girl who took the picture). That’s trade-nonsense. Wikimedia Commons have some different licenses (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Reusing_content_outside_Wikimedia), but I guess most of them are pretty trade-free. A website about only trade-free media with no strings attached at all would be awesome!Show more
