WordPress (WordPress.org) is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) written in PHP and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database. Features include a plugin architecture and a template system, referred to within WordPress as Themes. WordPress was originally created as a blog-publishing system but has evolved to support other types of web content including more traditional mailing lists and forums, media galleries, membership sites, learning management systems (LMS) and online stores.

I use Wordpress a while now and it is completely trade-free, since you don’t have to pay any money, nor data, nor anything else. Some plugins or themes for Wordpress are not trade-free! But Wordpress itself is. Also, don’t confuse it with wordpress.com – that’s different. You can create a website on wordpress.com for “free”, but not trade-free. You can only choose a domain with yourdomain.wordpress.com and you have a lot limitations: https://wordpress.com/pricing/?ref=create-blog-lp therefore they want to sell you their personal, premium, business or commercial plan. So keep in mind, wordpress.com is not trade-free, but wordpress.org, the software, the content management system is trade-free.

Anyone can download Wordpress and install locally or on their own server. And tweak it any way they want to. All, trade-free.
