Liblouis è un traduttore e traduttore in braille open source chiamato in onore di Louis Braille. Presenta il supporto per computer e braille letterario, supporta la traduzione con contratto e senza contratto per molte lingue e ha il supporto per la sillabazione. È possibile aggiungere facilmente nuove lingue tramite tabelle che supportano un approccio basato su regole o dizionari. Sono inclusi anche strumenti per il test e il debug delle tabelle. Liblouis supporta anche il braille matematico (Nemeth e Marburg).
