Popcorn Time is a multi-platform, free software BitTorrent client that includes an integrated media player. The applications provide a free “alternative” to subscription-based video streaming services such as Netflix. Popcorntime advertises their own VPN inside the app itself. So be aware of that. You can disable it from settings-advance. But they want your currency and this is a slippery slope. Except that what they provide is a decentralized content that is trade-free for anyone.
