Pixabay.com is an international, copyleft and free-to-use website for sharing photos, illustrations, vector graphics, film footage and music. As of November 2017, Pixabay offers over 1,188,454 free photos, illustrations, and vectors and videos.
All video and image files available on the platform can be used without attribution requirement and also for commercial aim.
They add so many “paid” media in-between the free ones that I won’t consider this as trade-free, but a way to lure people into buying media files….so many ads and trade-pushing methods on their website.
Fully agree. I just clicked an image on their website seeing a “Sponsored Images Shutterstock – LIMITED DEAL: 20% off with PX20OFF coupon” + “Discover more great images on our sponsor’s site Pixabay users get 30 days of free access to Adobe Stock →”
These are pretty obvious trades.
On their search page they add sponsored searches (content) + when you download a photo you are faced with a “recaptcha” (spam filter) that can be removed if you sign in with their website. You have to trade a bit of your attention (for ads) and to register with them if you want to download images in an easier manner.
