Hackaday.io started as a project hosting site in early 2014 under the name of Hackaday Projects to provide a hosting space for documenting hardware and software projects. It has now grown into a social network of over 350,000 members creating projects which cover a wide range of topics that appeal to the DIY mindset.
The website seems to have a few ads and trackers. Nothing extraordinary, but worth mentioning.
